William Soto

Dominican-born and educated in Belgium, William Soto is the Founder and Managing Director of Soto Legal. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws from the University of Liège, earning magna cum laude honors for both degrees. His legal education was complemented by academic training in business administration, providing him with an integrated understanding of law, business, and strategic decision-making.

During his studies, William completed internships with leading international law firms in Brussels, gaining first-hand exposure to the standards, working methods, and analytical discipline of top-tier international legal practices.

As Managing Director, William leads the firm's strategic development and oversees client relationships, matter coordination, quality control, and the implementation of international best practices. Working closely with the firm's attorneys and external advisers, he ensures that each mandate is approached with precision, commercial awareness, and a clear understanding of the client's broader objectives. Legal advice and representation under Dominican law are provided exclusively by attorneys duly licensed to practise in the Dominican Republic.

Fluent in Spanish, French, and English, with knowledge of Italian and Dutch, William brings a distinctly international and multicultural perspective to the firm. His background enables him to understand the expectations of foreign investors and to facilitate cross-border matters involving different jurisdictions, languages, and professional cultures.

Kendry Rijo Pichardo — Associate

Kendry Rijo Pichardo is a Dominican attorney and land surveyor whose practice encompasses real estate, civil, corporate, and commercial matters. Her multidisciplinary background enables her to approach real estate transactions from both legal and technical perspectives, with particular insight into the legal, registry, and cadastral considerations involved in property-related matters.

Her experience includes property transfers, the preparation and review of legal documents, real estate procedures, and interactions with Dominican governmental institutions. Through this work, she has developed practical knowledge of Dominican legal processes and of the different stages involved in transactional and property matters.

Kendry holds degrees in Law and Land Surveying and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Real Estate and Registry Law at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). She was also selected for the SUSI scholarship program sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, through which she completed studies in Economic Development and Social Entrepreneurship at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

A native Spanish speaker with advanced proficiency in English, Kendry is able to communicate effectively with both Dominican and international clients and to explain local legal and real estate procedures in a clear, practical, and accessible manner.
